Project Life: Week 38: September 15th - 21st

This week I used all digital. I am loving the Dear Lizzy lines! This week I used the Polka Dot Edition that I downloaded here at Digital Project Life. I love that I can go there and for $6.99 or less (usually because I wait till they go on sale) and download a new kit! I also used Dear Lizzy printed chipboard shapes that I got from Amazon. This week I was a little inspired by Amy Tan and all her embellishing. I love how unique her pages look. So I decided to add a few more doo dads, and word stickers. I also strayed from my typical 4 x 6 picture format and used a few of my instagram pictures. That allowed me some more room to be creative. I also used more buttons : )

Love my Pumpkin Spice Soy  Latte's at Starbucks!

This week I also ordered my "Just Add Color" kit from HSN. By following Becky on Instagram, she posted that you could order the kit early! Yahoo! So you know I did! I actually got it on Tuesday! The day it premiered on HSN! I was soooooo excited to get this kit. The ONLY reason I did not use it yet, is because I have already made up cards for the next few weeks. But I did add a few of the stickers to this week layout. If you haven't made up your mind to purchase this kit, do it! It is so cool and I LOVE the idea of getting the page protectors too! Because with all those odd square cards, you need those protectors! So whatcha waiting for?  Go here and check it out!
Anywho, here is the complete week! Have a wonderful week & thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog. I will be linked up with Jessica at The Mom Creative Blog!

Project Life: September 8th - 14th!

Project Life was so much fun this week! I used a core kit that was an exclusive to Archiver's Stores. It is called the Slate Edition. As soon as I heard about this core kit I immediately called the closest Archivers...which is in Ohio! I live in PA, there isn't one Archivers in the stinkin' state! It cost more money than I usually pay for a core kit, but I liked the colors and knew I would use it in pieces as I do most of my kits. I ordered it in late May and it didn't arrive until late August...talk about anticipation! I used primarily all the red cards. That started simply by my husband wearing a red t-shirt on Sunday evening for the first photo that started the week. And there you have it, the complicated strategy I use for choosing my color scheme/core kit for the week. Haha! But anywho, the week was taken over by cute little kittens, wet & dry. I also used buttons that I bought on Etsy from Flair for Buttons! I love these buttons! I have ordered a ton! I have ordered ones that have to do with summer, coffee, camera's...you name it, she has it! It adds such a cute touch! And they are made beautifully & are inexpensive! Check her site out! Below is a camera button! Cute! I also used Doodlebug's Teensy Type Letters in Ladybug and Boutique Brads in Ladybug.

Here is the left side/Sunday through Tuesday:

And the right side/ Wednesday through Saturday:

 The entire layout...lovin' the red!!

...and a close up of me & my love. Here I used Cathy Z.'s stamp that you can download for free when you subscribe to her new newsletter.

Project Life: September 1st-7th

I loved doing this week's layout! I used just about every kit I own (which is roughly 7 physical & 8 digi!). But I used only orange and yellow. I felt with the first day of school and the beginning of September, I was feeling a bit "fallish". I also added an Amy Tan design for the title card. Loved how it all came together and gave the exact feel I wanted. I also added a lot of letter stickers. I have such a huge stash of these and since I really never scrap in 12 x 12 format any longer, I thought I'd put those letters to good use! A ton of events took place this week...Of course there is the first day of school. This went very smoothly as I am very fortunate to have two girls who actually love school. So we were up early curling hair and getting ready. But biggie was our kittens. Yes, we are officially the crazy cat family...now with a grand total of 5 cats! Yikes! An employee of my husbands found these 3 kittens in a wood pile abandoned. She kept one and the suckers we are, kept the other 2 brothers. But OMG, are they stinkin' adorable!!!! And so lovable! So they basically dominated the week-even over the first day of school. So here are the entire layout:

A few close ups of a few of the cards

I also added an extra page. It is Becky's Design G. I highlighted each of my girls with a bit of info.

Hope everyone has an awesome week!

Project Life: August 18th-31st

This was once again a whirlwind of a 14 day period! Two weeks FLEW by! I never even had a chance to blog last week. Hopefully once my beautiful chickies are back in school (in less than 48 hours : ) I will go back onto a steady schedule.
For week 34, which was the 18th through the 24th, I used the 5th and Frolic Edition. Though I must admit, I'm over that edition already. I literally used it twice...oh, well, maybe I'll use a few pieces here and there. I did add some letting to the date card. These letter's I've had in my stash for years. they are by Sassafras. I'm not even sure if they are in existence anymore! Ha, but I do love their letters! I also added washi tape to most of the journaling cards. They were definitely lacking pizazz. On a personal note, this was the week I took my son back to college : ( He is a sophomore this year. So it was easier...OK, it was super easy compared to the heartbreak last year. there was also crating, new rain boots and fireworks this week. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this week an 8.

The rain boots shot, I love! I made it black and white. Then on my iPad, I used the app ColorSplash. Love, love, love this app! So easy to use and stunning results. It's an easy way to change up your normal 4 x 6 photo's~

For week 35, August 25th-31st, I used the beautiful Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Collection from the Digital Project Life website. I'm a little obsesses with this collection! As I have now discovered there is a ton of this collection out there!! Ahhh! So you will be seeing a lot of this in the upcoming blog posts! I love the soft pretty colors, and especially the way it looks like it has been water colored! Beautiful!! As for the week, it consisted of an awesome day shopping with my girls. A yummy dinner NOT made by me. But a delicious peach cobbler that I did actually make with my daughter Paulina....so good! Didn't even last 24 hours in our house, haha!  A lovely loaner SUV I got to use while my 12 year old Subaru was getting fixed. It was a beauty! And it was ORANGE! Seriously almost fainted when I saw it....sigh! Had so give it back the next day : ( But any who, here is the layout for last week.

Even added a tag from some of the shopping we did.

Have a wonderful week and thank you for checking out my blog!!! I am linked up with Jessica at The Mom Creative Blog
