I have actually decided to put aside DD this year. I went on a class trip with my daughter to NY. We visited Ellis Island and The Statue of Liberty. It was such a wonderful trip! I gave her a Pandora charm of the Statue of Liberty while we were on the pedestal...it was such a nice moment.
I have decided to do a mini scrapbook on that trip. So basically that is keeping me VERY busy. I'll post a few pictures in a week or two. Or you can check out my instagram feed, just look on my sidebar.
The week of November 24th through the 30th I used mostly cards from the Seasons and the Holiday Editions of Becky's PL. I did choose a few random journal cards from various sets I've collected through out the years. I wanted a warm feeling for the week of Thanksgiving. I think I accomplished it.
My son also came home during this time...so it was a super happy week! He worked a lot, but we squeezed in a day of shopping and lunch.
Our new kitten Partly Cloudy was helping my husband work on their kitty condo!
I added a few small black and whites to a journal card and added a strip of card stock.
Here is the left and right side
Now for December 1st through the 7th I wanted a "Christmasy" feel. I chose cards from the Slate Edition that I ordered from an Archivers Store in Ohio. I used red & green cards to welcome the last month of the year! I LOVE Christmas.
Above I did add a button from Flair Buttons and a few brads from Basic Gray. All things I had in my stash.
I used Doodlebug Teensy Type Cardstock Stickers for quite a few of my cards. I love the way they add a little bit of pop to my journal cards.
This week was a busy one (I think I say that every week, ha). We had Paulina's class trip to New York. I volunteered at the school for Santa's Workshop. The Girl Scouts sang at New Season's Retirement Home. And Natalya had her very first sleep over! Oh and Paulina started back with her voice lessons.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week! I am linked up with Jessica over at Mom Creative Blog!
