Project Life: April 2014

Hello everyone & welcome back! I'm going to go through my Project life for the month of April, yes, that's 4 weeks of crafty goodness. So let's jump right in.

Here is the first week of April. I used my favorite kit of all time...Strawberry Edition. Love the colors in this kit. I added a few embellishments. Wood veneers from Studio Calico, puffy stickers from Amy Tan & some lovely glitter words from Heidi Swapp. It was a rather busy week. I got to scrap with my good friend Roo (ecstatic that I have a PL buddy!). My father & my step mother came for a visit, Paulina had Reading Olympics ( which they snagged first place...go St. Jude's). Oh and Natalya learned to ride a bike....now the girls ride up and down the driveway constantly.

Here are the left and right sides. I also used  4  6 journaling cardstock from Becky Higgins.

The following week was my birthday week. Not too exciting, but still a bsuy week. I used mostly Kiwi Edition and tried to stick with an orange theme, since that is my favorite color. I used Amy Tan stickers for my title card.

I added my favorite insert, Design J, since I am an avid instagramer (follow me: orangedanigirl). My insert were extra pictures from the week. Paulina at voice lessons, my new Pandora bracelet, and my poor little Natalya at the doctors getting diagnosed with Strep throat : (

The other side is a picture of a daffodil I took with my Olloclip on my phone! I added some "spring"
text and voila! The other picture is the sun setting looking so beautiful...I put my arm out the window and snapped...not too bad. The last one was of the treehouse my husband built for Addison over a decade ago. The girls have discovered it and demand it be finished, haha.

My husband does listen and snapped a few psictures during Easter Vigil Mass ( I had to work). I used the app SpaceEffect for the "halo" effect.

My husband also journals a TON, which is a good thing.  So I usually have to put it inside a 4 x 6 bi fold card and just decorate the outside, which is what I've done above.

The next week is Easter week. I went with a lavender theme. I split the Happy Edition with Roo, so I went through the kit and pulled light purple and a few multi-colored dot cards. I am pleased with the layout. I also added two extra inserts, one is Design J and the other I made to fit my 5 x 7 collages.

Here is the entire layout minus the inserts.

Design J: The girls swimming, My little Pony, Sushi heaven, Kitty cat heaven and Easter cupcakes!

This is my Easter collage. I had taken so many pictures, I wasn't sure how I wanted to showcase them all in PL. Finally I narrowed it down to a dozen photo's and put them in this 4 x 6 collage and printed them at a 5 x 7 size.

We are now at the week of April 27th through May 3. I used the new Maggie Holmes Storyboard. I wanted to stick to an aqua and gold/kraft theme. I used gold hearts from Studio Calico and a few flowers. I kept this wekk pretty simple.

I used the font Pea Ellie Bellie on the days of the week for the right side. this is my new favorite font.

It was my hubbies birthday this week, Paulina was cantor at church, we had torrential rain, Natlaya's soccer team kicked butt, and the girls had lots of projects due in school.

Ok so there is a month in the life of Danielle : ) Hope you enjoyed. If there is anything you see and I haven't listed it, just write a message below. Hope everyone has a wonderful week. I will be linked up with Jessica at the Mom Creative blog. Have a wonderful week!
